SONIC MAZE is a twelve meters large performative structure, challenging the frontiers of disciplines: design, art, music, and architecture — all questioning how to collectively shape the future in a world of increasing unknowns, fears, divisions, and conflicts.
emerging from the reunion of a paris-based architect (mesure studio) and a german designer (ultimo intimo), both curated by the dutch design foundation, this space is an original creation defined by two sinuous blown bodies. depending on our point of view and position, the same surface can appear over-vertical and impassable, or on the contrary, as a stand we can inhabit, sit on, climb, play with, and explore. visitors are invited to lose their assumptions and challenge the frontiers.
inside, to create a world apart inviting the movement of bodies and perceptions, different spatial soundscapes — all playing in infinite variations — have been specially created for the occasion by drux , a french music producer.
the SONIC MAZE was presented during dutch design week October 18-26 2025 on ketelhuisplein in eindhoven (nl).
